All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
- The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
- Violators will be removed from the pool of submission.
- Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the Kearney Area Arts Council (KAAC) website. Entries not submitted through the website will be refused and or disqualified.
- Entries will be judged by a panel of community members selected by KAAC. All decisions are final. Kearney Area Arts Council reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate. KAAC will not be responsible to explain or justify why an entry is rejected. The decision of the Jurors is final.
- By entering their work, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by KAAC for advertising purposes, social media and display should a photo be selected as a finalist.
- Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses, 11:59 pm 2/6/2026.
- Those selected in the top 26 will receive an 11x14 framed copy of their submission.
- The Finalists will be contacted via the email address provided during entry.
- The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- It is understood there will be no financial incentive offered to the 26 final photographers or any other photographers for their submission.
- The Kearney Area Arts Council is not liable for any false submissions or damages resulting in legal proceedings and will be exempt from financial penalties resulting from legal action on all parties involved.
